I had a bonding time with myself kanina. I watched a very hilarious film so that made my day quite cheerful.

When I got home, I received a phone call from my bestfriend Chaz. It made me so happy kasi nga, as I’ve already said, I’ve been feeling a bit left out lately. She was asking me out kasi nag-aaya daw si Mike (which is very strange kasi that guy has never planned gimiks before let alone to go out). I said I’m not sure kasi I have to study pa for my 131 exam on Monday. So we spent, I don’t know, one hour siguro on the phone just making up for lost time. Now that we’re in college na kasi, we hardly see each other kahit na she’s just there in the nearby city of Manila. We’ve been to busy to spend time together kaya whenever we have the chance to talk, I feel so happy talaga. The last time I saw her was last December pa, on Christmas Eve. I went to her house just to see her (you see how much I love her?).

Hmm… why don’t I talk about her? About us?

We were bestfriends for as long as I can remember. We’ve known each other all our lives and I have this thought na baka we were meant to become bestfriends kasi our parents have had a soft ‘history’. Apparently, her dad courted my mom once upon a time. So kung nagkatuluyan sila, malamang naging magkapatid kami. That’s why I consider her as part of my family (I think all bestfriends are).

Chaz – or Bessy as I love to call her – and I practically grew up together. We met when were just little kids (kinder 2 pa lang kami nun). We shared a lot of things together – from our baons to our school stuffs. Actually, I can’t remember why I liked to be friends with her – basta all I can remember is that we were inseparable. Naalala ko pa nga, she celebrated her birthday tapos ako lang ang bisita nya [from school; lahat halos e relatives nya]. Yun, the next thing we knew, she was invited whenever I celebrate my birthday and vise versa.

Probably, the reason why I love her so much is that she understands lahat ng kagagahan ko. She knows me from the inside out. She has never left my side through thick and thin. Nung highschool kasi (and until now) I have a separate barkada. Pero kahit ganun yung situation, she was always there whenever I needed her at hindi nagbago yung friendship namin. Actually, I can’t remember any instance na nag-away or nagkatampuhan man lang kami (thank God for that). Every time I’ve got a problem with my family or with my personal relationships, I just let my emotions out on her and she’ll just listen and offer advices later on. Siguro if there’s someone who can make a credible account of my life (aside from my mother that is), that someone is probably her. That’s got to be her. I really can’t imagine my life without her. Siguro if we never met and became bestfriends, I would never be the person I am today. Bessy is really a big part of my life.

Isa pang bagay na gustong-gusto ko about her is that she listens and values what I have to say even regarding her personal life. When she has problems sa lovelife nya, she would never hesitate to tell me kasi she knows na I would listen to her as well. At kahit na sometimes she doesn’t follow my advices [na more often than not e good for her], it’s okay kasi I know she learns from her mistakes. And as far as I can remember, I never blamed her for a bad decision she made. I want her kasi to be strong in life. I want her to stand up on her own.

If there is someone na pinaka pinaka love ko sa mundo aside from my family, it’s bessy. I’ll never get tired of listening to her. I’ll never get tired of being with her.

And I just hope our friendship will last a lifetime.
