HERO for a night
Another amazing experience happened to me last night amidst my great effort to focus on my reviewing for the freakin' Economics exam. Well this is how it goes...i was up on the second floor of our house, in my room, when i saw sparks, which by the way didn't look like the normal firecracker spark, coming from the other side of the road. i ignored it at first because sanay na ako sa pag-spark spark ng linya ng kuryente sa kabila. pero when i looked at it, the wires were already burning and no one was doing anything to put it out - at eto pa, yung mga nakatira sa bahay na mismong nasa harap lang yung sunog e pinapanood lang na para bang live amusement yung linya ng kuryente nila. at this point i didn't do anything. i continued my studying and the fire and the sparking also continued. a couple of minutes later, some kids were shouting (probably enjoying what they were seeing) so i looked out the window to see what was happening. Aba! e kaya naman pala nagsisigawan sila, mas lumaki yung sunog at may nalaglag pa sa puno nung kapit-bahay. so akala ko nagpa-panic na yung ibang tao, pero wala pa ring nangyayari so i went downstairs na kasi ako yung nagpapanic na madamay yung line namin.again, after a couple of minutes, a 'concerned citizen' decided to put out the fire. it went out naman but when the man was about to put out the remaining fire (konti na lang yun) nag-spark ulit yung wire. pero it just went on for seconds. pero while i was sitting in the living roon, where kitang-kita ko nangyayari sa labas, bigla ba namang nag-spark yung linya nung katapat naming bahay. dun ako sobrang nagulat kasi sunod-sunod yun and nawalan na ng kuryente nung tatlong magkakatabing bahay sa side na yun. i didn't know what number to call so i just called the subdivision's guard house to inform them of what was happening. the man i talked to on the phone said he'd call MERALCO immediately. a few minutes later firemen came. and as usual madaming naki-osyoso so i didn't go out anymore. i went upstairs to see what was happening and when i felt that it was going to be alright, i continued what i was doing earlire before that. so yun, i feel that i was a hero for that night. if it weren't for my call, who knows what could have happened. baka nasunog yung mga bahay sa kabila at baka hindi ko na rin maisulat kung ano yung nagawa ko.

"Real love is when you love someone without asking for anything in return. It's when even a passing smile can make your day, a small pat on the back can make you feel alive and the mere sound of his/her voice can move you to break out into a song inside.
Real love isn't fate nor is it written in the stars. You , yourself, have to make love happen. It's a choice; a commitment that you stand up for. And even if you're uncertain if he'she loves you back, you take the risk of facing whatever pain that would come your way simply because you believe he/she is worth everything and more."
