Pinoy Big Brother controversy
i am not a big fan of Pinoy Big Brother but i do watch it when i feel the urge to. one reason is that wala naman akong bet sa mga natira kasi my favorite housemate is Bob, who was forced evicted due to his health and since then i never watch the show as regularly as i did when it started. pero last sunday as i was surfing through the channels i saw that it was on so i tuned in. i learned that it was supposed to be a nomination night but due to some event that happened before the eviction the night before, the announcement of the nominees for eviction was postponed and that two of the housemates had violated a rule. masyado daw maselan ang mga nangyari kaya ang pamunuan ng PBB ay kailangang pag-aralan itong mabuti.
finally kanina, sinabi na rin ang nangyari. before housemate Jenny was evicted pala kasi, franzen and cass were mouthing words to each other - a rule which was clearly stated in the contract of some sort that the housemates knew about. a video was shown at kitang-kita nga na sila ay nag-uusap na hindi naririnig ng mga manonood at pati ng mga ibang housemates mismo. now Franzen, as we all know is the resident jologs of the Big Brother house. maka-masa ang turing sa kanya ng mga fans nya kaya naman a lot of people keep on voting for him everytime he is nominated. but regular viewers of the show will also be able to tell that he is slowly becoming, if he hadn't been all the while, 'pasaway' by breaking house rules and doing gross and unethical things. i would say that there's a problem with his character since he had been reprimanded and punished a lot of times but it seems that he doesn't learn from those punishments at all.
the decision of Endemol was released a while ago and they decided to evict him at all cost. but apparently, cass was told about this decision a few days back (maybe it was yesterday). she begged 'big brother' not to evict him and evict her instead. the following day, cass was again asked if she still feels that franzen shouldn't be evicted. she said she doesn't want him to go kasi "kawawa naman yung pamilya nya".
wait! don't you think it is very hypocritical for cass to do such a thing? i mean, contest ito at alam natin na kaya sya sumali ay para makilala ng mga tao at malamang,para rin sa pera. but why the sudden change of mind (and probably heart)? para sa akin,isa itong kaplastikan! walang matinong tao ang maggi-give up ng ganito kalaking opportunity dahil lang naawa sya. e kung talagang naawa sya sa mga katulad ni franzen, dapat hindi na lang sya nag-audition at ibinigay na lang ang pagkakataon sa ibang tao na mas nangangailangan ng opportuniting ito. hindi naman ako nagagalit sa kanya,in fact natutuwa pa nga ako dahil nakikita ko na nagmamagandang loob sya para sa isang kaibigan. pero hello! napakalaking bagay naman yata nito para bitiwan nya ng ganun lang. cass,magpaka-praktikal ka! and besides, nakikita naman ng mga tao na talagang pasaway na si franzen at nakasaad sa rules and regulations na in cases like this ay dapat masunod ang napagdesisyonan ng pamunuan. tama ang sinabi ng ibang housemates na 'what should be done should be done'.
(unless gusto na talagang lumabas ni cass dahil feeling nya e sikat na sya, she can go ahead. look at what fame can do to person's mind nga naman.)
good luck na lang sa kanila ni franzen dahil apparently, sila talagang dalawa ang nominated. i also hope the voters would be critical in their judgement regarding who they would vote for. ako, if ever man na mag-vote ako, i would vote for cass kasi wala syang kasalanan and she should be given another chance.
*PS. I am not a fan of cass. in fact, i don't like her at all. i just don't think it's fair for her to go while the one who isn't deserving will stay (and who knows, he might eventually win the prize).
